Jesus said that this is eternal life: “…that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3) Far too often teenagers are taught things about God and Jesus His Son…but there is a difference between knowing about Jesus, and actually knowing Him!
The Student Ministry here at First Baptist is all about:
….Connecting students to Jesus and His Church;
….Engaging them with the Gospel message and His people;
….Living life alongside them as they grown in their relationship with God.
We believe that students who connect, engage, and live will truly know God by the time they graduate! But graduation is not the end goal for us!
First Baptist truly is a family that spans all generations. Whether students stay here locally, or scatter across the country when they start college, First Baptist strives to remain connected and engaged in their lives throughout their educational journey.
Join us on Wednesdays nights at 6:30PM in the youth room for a time of games, fellowship, and Bible study. The Bible study consists of walking through a book of the Bible over the span of several weeks. We just finished the book of Daniel, and are looking forward to spending time in the book of Hebrews.
Sunday School classes are age/gender specific groups led by adults committed to investing in the lives of your teenagers. These small groups are designed to engage and connect students to each other as they live out their faith in community with one another. Sunday School begins at 9:45AM.
Our Sunday Night Youth Services cover a variety of topics from a Biblical perspective and basis. These services provide an opportunity for students to ask and wrestle with questions they may have, and to become equipped with Biblical answers for those same questions that their peers at school may ask of them. This format helps students answer three fundamental questions for themselves:
1. What do I believe?
2. Why do I believe that?
3. How can I share this with other people?
Sunday Night Youth Services begin at 6:30PM.
