Thank you to everyone for your faithful giving to invest in the work of God’s Kingdom through FBCG! Let’s always remember the words from Paul to the church at Philippi regarding how God responds to our offering of worship through sacrificial giving. He writes:

“I have received full payment and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Phil. 4:18-20)

When we make His Kingdom our chief priority and give sacrificially to the work of the Kingdom, we have this promise to claim: God will supply our every need and He will do so according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus!

I ask you to prayerfully consider taking any steps you may need to take to be someone who gives sacrificially to the work of God’s Kingdom through FBCG. Maybe it’s giving for the first time, tithing for the first time or the first time in a while, or perhaps, going above and beyond the tithe to give offerings unto our Lord. You may already give sacrificially and faithfully and simply need to remain strong in that commitment.

One recent national giving report revealed the following about giving in local churches:

• Only 5% tithe
• 80% of Americans only give 2% of their income
• Christians are giving at 2.5% of their income (during the Great Depression, it was 3.3%).
• Only 3-5% of Americans who give to their local church do so through regular tithing.
  
  

Imagine the difference we can make together as we walk in faith and give sacrificially trusting God to keep His promise. Imagine if together, we take our next steps in this area. FBCG will see God’s hand of provision and God will honor our commitment to the work of His Kingdom for the glory of His Name.
