Student Ministry Update

February 2023

Dear Church Family,

The new year has gotten off to a great start so far. In January the students had an awesome trip to Rock The Universe – a large Christian Music Festival hosted at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.

That was followed up the first week of February by worshiping with our other associational student ministries at The Collective Weekend.

Just this past weekend, the students hosted a Parent’s Night Out, which was an opportunity for the students to serve our church families and other families in the community by providing a fun time for kids while the parents had some free time.

We are continuing to join together for Bible Study on Sunday evenings at the Wright house. We kick off with food and snacks facilitated by our Student Ministry Leadership Team. Then we enjoy a fun group game led by our extraordinary Game Master, Ms. Jill King. Then we worship together and dive into studying the Word.

On Wednesdays, we continue to have our Student Worship service at 6:00 in the Student room. We have a fun game or activity to kick off, then worship is led by our student worship team. This is followed by a message and discussion in which we are currently walking through the Gospel of John.

The main focus of our student ministry is to grow the students as disciples of Jesus, so our approach is very interactive and works towards equipping the students to study the Bible on their own and learn to live it out in their daily lives.

Please continue to be in prayer for the Leadership Team and the students as we seek to grow in the Lord and have an impact in our schools and community.

I’d like to encourage you to give some extra financial support directly to the student ministry. First, we never want a student to miss out on a ministry event due to a lack of funds on their part, so we are working to make sure everyone is covered regardless of their financial situation. In addition, there are items needed to help improve the overall ministry to the students in the student room and cafe area. If you feel led to contribute, please follow this link and select Student Ministry in the drop-down: SUPPORT TO THE STUDENTS

Please join me in thanking the Lord for the wonderful group of adults we have supporting the student ministry. We are so thankful for your continued prayers and encouragement. There is a movement of God within the younger generation and it is spreading fast. Pray that God raises up students from this generation to be radically committed to God and the mission of the Gospel. Pray that our students are on fire for the Kingdom and surrender their lives fully to knowing God and serving His Kingdom purposes.

An important tool for ministry that has potential to make a profound impact on students is summer camp. It was at a summer youth camp that God totally transformed my life. This year we are going to CentriFUGE in Jackson, TN. Sign-up here: FUGE 2023

If you have questions about the student ministry, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. The best way to stay connected with all the Lord is doing with the students is to follow us on Facebook or Instagram

For the Glory of God,
